Hafta try that, thanks.

Note they've also got a trial version of their main plugs with a Massey-inspired crippleware approach: no time bomb, but no saving of settings, automation, max 48K, etc. Theirs also freezes the UI after an hour of working with it.

Apparently they have their own custom dongle for the main plugs, one version of which gives you a feverish 150 hours to work with them fully functional unless you upgrade.

Yeah, I'm no fan of dongles (had to by another usb hub just yesterday) but at least it's not as big as the iLok so you can put it next to other usb contacts.

Is it just me, or does this not seem to do much? Maybe it's the material I ran though it - jazz quartet.

I can make the piano sound bad with maximum sweetness and maybe the cymbals more "tappy" with full bitterness.

- hafta try some other stuff. Worth what you pay for it, I guess. Is it meant more for tracks than mixes? FreeG has got this one beat so far in the free territory!

eeek!!! This is from their site:

Despite some press releases and and some announcements from other web sites, the Audio Unit support is still under development.
It will be available in the coming weeks. We hope AU users will be patient enough to support this delay. We re very sorry for this convinence.

I think they have a bugfix available for download

EDIT: are you sure it will work on Logic 5.51?

Massey stuff doesn't freeze control after an hour, so although they say it isn't a timebomb, it is. Ok, maybe not a bomb, but certainly a grenade.

And I'm not sure I like the 150 hour approach. I'd rather own the plug-ins, or not. I guess they can rake in more cash this way... if the plugs are any good. I'll try 'em.

The RTAS version don't show up in PT Le 7.3.1cs2 under XP.
When loading the wrapped VST the GUI gets tacky - then it works then it don't!

So couldn't try 'em.

works with protools 7.3.1 for osx. this plug is awesome. brings things more up front without the sign of compression. reminds me of the sony transmod a bit, but easier to get an effect without pumping. love the price!

Hello David,

I've made some test with this last update of ProTools LE and it's perfectly working on 2 differents computers (XP SP2 English). Is it possible that you enter in contact with our technical support (support@fluxhome.com) to try solving your problem?

Best Regards

I'll give it another spin - only tried with headphones on a mix. Is the good you're hearing subtle? Tracks, submix or mix? Like I said, I could make the mix sound worse toward sweet and maybe subtly better/forward with bitter - maybe it doesn't translate on phones as well as speakers, being more of a depth thing...

well, it might be halfway subtle - I first tried it on some instrument loops (which had different dynamics)

best

try it on drums. it really "smacks" them up. be careful though, pushing too much can take out the warmth a bit, unless you like that.

I don't think that Logic 5.5.1 for PC is actually supported, because it's so old.
I'm only using 5.5.1 for midi and programming-stuff on my PC,
so I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers if anything is compatible
with 5.5.1 or not...

Trying to remove it from a channel in Reaper fracked the app, multiple times. Nice effect. Spectacular crash. Once I managed to extricate it from my arrangement, I wiped it from my computer. Have to echo Bo above.

Nice logo. Deadly coding.

Not happy about the wasted time.

Correcting the above -- bad assessment on my part. I was using Reaper when I ran into the above problems, and I'm thinking now, based on some other information, that it was a bad build. I'm back to SX3 for the moment and the Flux plug doesn't seem to give me a problem there.

Mea culpa!

Cheers.

worked fine in PTLE. it seemed like 100% sweet sweetened more than 100% bitter bittered, if that makes any sense at all. i put it on a snare drum, and bitter did give it more crack, and sweet made it sound like ass. i put it on an elec. guitar, and could barely tell it was there.

cool plug! i'll keep it around!
