looks promising.. the latest Jam versions have been buggy and never got along well with external audio hardware. i've moved to Peak for my RedBook burning, which is nice.. but i'm still getting used to its differences from jam... i don't see anything on Roxio's site about RedBook... having Jam-like capabilities is nice, but if it's not RedBook, it doesn't do us any good...

I'm pretty certain I am moving to Peak LE for my burning. Unfortunately the limitations of Peak LE compared to Peak Pro kind of bug me. Still loads more featured than Jam right enough.

Yeah it is Red Book compatible according to Roxio. I've burnt a couple of discs with it (not just audio) and it seems to work fine. You can also insert 3 plugins on each track aswell for audio processing which you couldnt do in Jam. Totally new GUI though. Was knd of like "why?" at first, but it is quite sleek. Incorporated some 'Apple' like interface featires too like the media browser. One thing though, I noticed when I was testing the crossfades that I was getting a small click and slight pause when it actually changed track number. This was purely in Toast, not after the burn..... I didnt actually burn the disc, was just messing about with the app. Bizzarre..... |

If you already have a copy of Toast 8, could you please check out whether it supports ISRC codes or not? I couldn´t find any info about that on the roxio website. Thanks, Toby |

thanks for the screenshots mlehmann. It doesn't look as if the feature set has moved on much since Jam 5 which is the last version I used. Might just go with Peak from now on.
