Black Lion Audio Clock

I inquired about a Motu HD192 clock upgrade the other day, asking why they don't offer it...especially if people are bothered by its clock bad enough to go out and get a big ben.

His response was the HD192's clock is based on some different parts that they dont have stock of. He also mentioned BLA is making a clock that is supposed to rival or beat the Big Ben, supposedly this will be available soon.

I wasn't sure if this was posted here, a search didnt turn up any results. If it has been posted about, just let this thread die.

Yes omor was correct. We hope to have it all ready and for sale by the end of the month. It is going to have 2 BNC connections out. Also I think we are going to have a spdif out on it as well. The unit also will have the abilty to have additional connections added on to to as a custom option if need be.

The clock will be comparable to the Big Ben, Lucid etc...
Price will be about $375 with two BNC outputs. Adding SPDIF clock outputs
or extra BNC outs will be something we can offer at an additional price.

Are you guys scrapping the 1010 clock upgrade and just doing a general clock for everything instead now?

How much extra per clock out? 2 seems to be the minimum anybody will need, so I'm fairly sure a lot of people will need a 3rd.

Is this going to be a 1 rack space unit or a standalone "set on top of everything else" affair?

Hey Guys,
Not sure about the 1010 clock yet. And I'm not sure yet what additional outputs will cost. But to the question-

"Is this going to be a 1 rack space unit or a standalone "set on top of everything else" affair?"

The answer to that is yes. It will be a "set on top of everything else affair"

I have a question Jimj166. I'm currently using a Mbox 1, but I want to upgrade. I was planning on getting the mbox 2 or mbox 2 pro and getting them modded by you guys. But with the new standalone clock you guys are coming out with, would you recomend that I just get the analog stage modded for my Mbox 1 and wait for the new clock(especially if it's gonna be comparable to the Big Ben, Lucid etc...?) Thanks.

i'm going to have the BLA mod done to my lowly m box and was wondering..the clock keeps the jitter down which translates to the ear as not sounding as pleasant as a good clock, w low jitter?can you hear jitter on single instruments (clcock w/ digi's oo2-003 m-box etc.) or does it become apparent as you add instruments etc. to mix ?soory if these are lame ,newb questions thnx -JP

What do you mean? I'm confused since Big Ben and Lucid is not comparable too start with.
