Pro Tools 11 - Digi 002 - Anyone tried it yet?

I have just gotten Pro Tools 11, but am very disappointed to see that it does not support Digi 002 console. Has anyone tried to use thier Digi 002 with PT11? There is a note in the documentation that it may work with EUCON, but I am nervous to try that. Also, it says that there may be support for it in the future (I hope so!).

If I have to get a new interface, what is the most cost effective choice? MBox? I am short on money and would like to get the best interface for the cheapest price (under $150) if possible.

Thanks!!!

What are all your settings in the hardware settings and playback engine? I can't get my 002 rack inputs or my ADAT inputs to show up in a session. But the session plays back through my 002 fine. Also, it would be helpful to know what version 002 driver you are using.

Not supported and not working are not the same.

They share the same drivers as the 003 interfaces which are supported and AVID employees themselves have mentioned that they should work fine, but they won't be testing them exclusively anymore.

I have the DIGI 002 console as well. If you go to Avid and download the latest drivers, it will work. Mine did.

I have a 002 Rack with Pro Tools 11 on a Late 2008 Mac Pro Quad Core. I downloaded the latest drivers for PT11. Works great so far….2 days and no crashes. Buffer set at 32 samples. Overall, i'm very impressed with the performance.

Down loaded 11 with my 002 console. Getting could not load personality error digi 002. Not working for me. Got latest driver for console from Avid 9.05 I believe. Working fine in 10.3.6 on same box.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Update:

The new driver I installed for 11 (9.0.5) for the 002/003 console, is now causing an error in 10.3.6. Error is similar to "cant translate track".

So neither version is working. I maybe forced to roll back 10.3.5 and the older driver until this can get worked out. For you mac users.. I am green as hulk with envy. For the bakers.. I Digress....

The newest drivers: Optical SPDIF / ADAT not recognized
Use the 2011 drivers. Everything works just like in PT10

Lunatech - I got the same error you did about not being able to load the Digi 002 personality.

Here is what happened - I got all the latest drivers from avid.com/drivers, updated to PT 10.36 and PT 11 and installed them. Turns out my old iLok did not work with the new licenses, so I had to shell out 49 bucks and wait a week for it to get here from Amazon. It arrived today, and I activated the licence. I first opened 10.3.6 and it worked as before. Then, I opened PT 11 and got this message: "Error occurred while trying to load the controller personality Digi 002".

I am on Windows 7 - 64 bit and have a Digi 002 console. Am I SOL? If so, what is the most cost effective interface (under 150 dollars) that will work with PT 11?

On the plus side, PT 11 will load my old PT projects and I it works for things like the new offline bounce feature. However, none of my old plugins are working yet, but that is for another day...

The strangest thing just happened - even though the Digi 002 console is not "working" I am able to record both MIDI and audio through it into PT 11! Strange. In other words, the faders, etc. will not respond, but the interface is getting and sending data correctly.

It looks like you're on Windows. I think the 002 is running better on Macs with PT11.

If you're looking for a different interface, there's lots of good ones. For something with similar I/O, the Focusrite Saffire and Scarlett series are a good choice.

So the 002 Adat and spdif I/O are confirmed to work on the OS X side?

Having issues with my 002 rack with a static type clicks if I try to go above 48Khz x 24bit.
I have the latest drivers &c.

Changing the buffer etc doesn't help any.
