Avid HDX DigiLink Adapter Question

Hey guys, hopefully one of you can answer this for me. I just snagged an Avid HDX (card only) from eBay. My question is... Does the DigiLink adapter for legacy interfaces come packaged with the HDX card or the new HD interfaces?

Thanks in advanced,

Keith Moore

I have a feeling it comes with both (it DEFINITELY comes with the interfaces)...but if you've got the card only, then it may well be the seller hasn't included it.

Your local Avid dealer would have the definitive answer.

It comes with the HD Native card, so I'm guessing it would normally come with the HDX card.

I think what these eBay guys are doing is they but the HDX bundles which come packaged with both the card and an interface. Then they sell them separately as what I've heard is you can't buy the HDX card from a dealer without an Avid interface unless you already own an HDX system.

So I was just curious to see if any HDX package owners recalled how it was packaged. I emailed my seller but haven't heard back yet.

My HDX card came with a female to male adaptor. The older digi link cable coming off a digi 192 fits into the mini link adaptor.

I believe Dale Pro Audio has these in stock. I'll just run there in case it does "not" come included.

Thanks guys

It used to come with them, but hasn't been included for some time. The last two HDX card I bought did not have them and I had to purchase separately.

Next question is where do you guys prefer the adapter? On the card or the interface?

I'd put it on the interface for stress/strain reasons, but it really doesn't matter.
