Sort of like session template or Stationary Pad except on an individual track basis, very cool.

Track Presets in Pro Tools. Here's an easy way to do it:

















The new Tracks Preset list:



If you're using an existing session that includes other tracks, then use Export > Selected Tracks as New Session and change the file extension to .ptxt in the folder itself:

Since this has been a feature request for years, I scratch my head as to why Avid never promoted this.

Another simple way to do it is create what you want on a track, choose "Make Inactive" (or "Hide and Make Inactive" and save that session as a template. You can activate any AUX tracks you want with different configurations, etc, if you need them.
