HD I/O with ASIO based interface. Can it be done?

Title says it all.

Is there any option for interfacing the HD I/O 8x8x8 with an ASIO based computer card or is it HD & HD Native cards only? Would like some input.

I eventually want to go to the HD Native but money is the limiting factor. This in PT10 on Windows. Would the Lynx AES 16 be able to hand this?

No. HD interfaces require HD cards to interface with the computer.

What is your budget?

The Priced to Sell "Bundle" for the HD I/O 8x8x8 along with the HD native PCie card is really a excellent way to go for several reasons. Stability, Performance, Pro Tools HD feature set.

You might take into consideration the software set you are getting along with the HD Native Card, and as well, its performance with Pro Tools HD.

PT 10 Native, with a Lynx AES16e card, does not compare to using the Pro Tools HD, with an HD native card, though, also a great system in its own right.

I have recently setup a PT10 Native on a Kustom I7 Quad PEECEE, using a Lynx AES16e card, with an Aurora16 and after we tweaked it, the system works excellently.

Thanks guys. I was trying to find a lower entry point to the HD converters. Looks like Lynx will get my money on this one. $3500 is the budget.

I've been running PT 10 HD Native for a while now with the Aurora 16.

Never once a problem....PT sees the Aurora as a 192 right right from the start.

As for compatibility (HD Native card + Aurora 16) in the next version of PT (PT 64-Bit)....that is simply an unknown factor.
