PT10 Native - how much memory?

Looking to configure a Mac Pro to go with my new PT 10 HD Native. Is 24 Gig overkill for PT or would 12 Gig be enough?

How much memory would I need to allocate for Extended Disk Cache for decent size rock mixes?

Thanks in advance.

I'm glad I got 16. (I needed matched groups of 4 sticks.) While PT works great with an 8 gig cache, the extra RAM allows me to have lots of other stuff open at the same time.

The easiest way to tell what your specific ram requirements would be for disk cache to fit your session in ram you should simply get info on a few of your project folders. Let's say most of your project folders are roughly 2-3 gigs then you could set disk cache to 5 or 6 gigs and know that your sessions are easily fitting within your disk cache setting.

I have 32 GB and 20 GB assigned to the disk cache. I have a fairly large 96k tracking session last week (64 tracks). 80% of the cache was full
