How do you authorize HEAT in PTHD 10.1

Hi there,
Just a quick dumb question, I downloaded PTHD 10.1 (I run HDX) assuming HEAT would be built-in, but apparently it is not. I managed to download the installer but can't figure out how to get the license for HEAT on my iLok. Anyone can help out ?

My dealer told me yesterday that HEAT wouldn't work, but now I heard on the DUC that it isn't the case and that it is HDX / AAX compatible...........now I'm confused...

Do you own HEAT? It's a paid for add on not part of pt. and it runs on HDX - we have it installed on one of our rigs.

You don't need an installer it's built into the 10.1 install look in your Avid / Plugins folder it is called "HEAT.aaxplugin"
If it's there then at that point RTFM hint it's built into the mixer it's not in your plug-ins list

Lots of contradictory answers ! I could not find nor activate it in the mixer and in the options menu. Weird. Now I have dowloaded and installed it but I need to authorize it, so that means I have to buy it ?

Yep, HEAT is running fine on HDX/PT 10.1.

It is a separate purchase from PTHDX and must reside on an iLok.

Yes you have to buy it. As my post says! Really, there's no contradictory answers from those who know from experience...

Sounds like that dealer is not a real user.

Well I thought "I installed it, I tested it, it works but you need to buy it" was fairly clear...you know, the personal experience, not the "my mate knew a bloke wot used pt once, he said it didn't work.."!

But yes...if you could only post on things you actually know about the board would be a lot quieter but a lot more BS-free.

Everything is installed and working fine, I was afraid for a moment that I would have to run two systems paralel. Not the case, and I'm a happy camper.
