Supported Interfaces for Low Latency Monitoring

Ok, I figure we need some kind of reference of which interfaces do or don't support Low Latency Monitoring mode in PT10.

I've just upgraded to find that my main system doesn't . . . it's not a deal breaker - the input monitoring switch means there are workarounds - but it would have been good to know.

The manual states that any interface with a DSP mixer is supported. That isn't strictly true.

I'm using PT10 Native + CPTK2.

Supported:

Apogee Duet
Apogee Ensemble
Avid MBox etc.
Digidesign 003 etc.
Focusrite Saffire etc.
Metric Halo ULN-2 (thanks vocalvoodoo)
Metric Halo ULN-8
Motu 828 etc.
RME BabyFace
RME Fireface 400/800/UFX

Unsupported:

M-Audio Profire 2626 (thanks weezul)
Propellerhead Balance
SSL MadiXtreme 64 (thanks everyday)
Steinberg MR816x
Steinberg MR816 CSX

Anyone know the status of various Focusrite interfaces in this regard???

In particular, the Sapphire LM56?

I got the 2626 'half working' by switching to the aggregate driver in the playback engine settings.

However, still unable to route that audio correctly.

This is a good thread. I wish I'd read about the 2626 before I bought it. Keep it going.

Thank you for this thread though it has now pissed me off lol. I bought the Profire 2626 for PT 8, then 9 comes out suddenly. Then 10 seems like a real upgrade for those who were stuck with a previously compatible device. Now you don't support it. Sorry, probably not the right place to bitch but I am glad this thread exists.

If I understand correctly, all interfaces should be supported, but not without any effort: you have to manually enable zero-latency monitoring in the control panel software of your interface. All PT10 does is shutting off the input stream for each record enabled channel...

Yes,,,,and the product has to feature an "input mixing" routing matrix program, so you can use with this feature of Pro Tools 10. I cut viloin tracks with a master violist yesterday, and I used an Apogee Ensemble, at 256 buffers, and LLM enabled. This feature worked flawlessly and made my job much less cumbersome in the process. Seamless really....

I'm using a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56. Once I understood how LLM worked everything works flawlessly. With or without RTAS Mix Control....

Actually, you wouldn't expect MadiXtreme64 to be supported, since it does not include a DSP mixer.

A better question for us MADI folks is whether the RME HDSPe MADI card is supported; I bet it is.

According to the UA video, it's "science fiction"!

So it would appear that the MOTU 828mk1 is *not* compatible with LLM in OS X, due to MOTU's CueMix OS X software not being compatible. Rather infuriating, as PT10 sees the 828 as a DSP mixer enabled interface, but without the CueMix software it just means you get a silent input. Bummer :(
