Let me reply to ALL of these posts by saying, The reason Avid is not concerned about us HD users anymore is, THEY ARE DONE, finished, kaput.... this is their LAST Grab at ANY straw and ANY attempt on making the big bucks making DAWs... THEY KNOW, it's all going native and It's all going 64Bit and It's all going Open Source as far as using ANY interface and third party plugs that WORK fine... I mean they JUST caught up to 32bit float?...really?... I recently attended a Pro Tools 10 Shootout and still I am trying to find one reason to upgrade... It was absurd and almost silly and old fashioned from the first word..... I cannot see putting my trust in a company like this anymore... To make things worse, I can't even call and get a F(**(&^kn person on the phone at Avid...LOL and they want 7K from me?...no way...You can NOT trust business practices like this...It's criminal.... I Will keep my HD3 rig and wait for a REAL DAW maker who CARES about their users to come around and set a new standard. It will happen people... just wait.. Plain and Simple. I Will bet. They will try to make this money and run... Chapter 11. |

Disk Cache will be heavily copied by everyone at some point. Disk too slow errors are banished forever! |
