Analogue Music. Looking for feedback ...

Hi all,

Here is my latest. Originally I intended to produce it entirely with analogue instruments, hence the title. In the end a couple of digital synths found their way into the mix - I just can't work without them. If you take a look at my list of equipment, most of them are in there somewhere.

Here it is: If you like Jean Michel Jarre, you may find some entirely intentional similarities in this track to his work

Cool.
I liked this alot. Nice choice of sounds (what synth did the lead?) and arrangement.
Musically, the changes in key were the best parts of the song for me.

It's got the feel of well made electronic music from years ago, but with a nice modern production.
Very well done.

Thanks

The lead is my JP8000 (I did say a couple of digital synths crept into the mix, didn't I?).

Other synths I used are my Slim Phatty, MFB Microzerg, Oberheim Matrix 1000 and Sylenth1.

It was produced in Logic.

Like it, I'm a sucker for early synth pop. My only feeling is the beats could be better, maybe different snares they both sound dull to me, and I'd brighten up the hi hats too, I dig the metallic hits though!

Thanks

I agree about brightening the hi-hat. I'll probably do a slightly updated version over the weekend.

Thanks!

As for the CD, unfortunately music is something I spend money on, rather than making money from it :(
