Starting a thread to promote your music is against forum rules.

I think that's a bit extreme, but yeah, it's not really my cup of tea. It sounds very OMD-ish, which isn't a bad thing, if this was 1982 and not 2012.

I like the 80's feel but the composition is a bit monotonous. Also asking the internet at large to help promote you is kind of random.

Is it three chords throughout the whole song?

Bring back Koko The Jungle Boy and that thread. I said Koko was banned but Reptil said no he was not.

Anyway - yeah don't be so mean folks. You all need to think about that karma thing.

I'd consider this outsider music, and, as such, very difficult to critique. But for those who enjoy outsider music, worth a look. Certainly cure-ish to me. Keep pushing, guys.

Just a quickie, thank you to those of you who had something nice to say. And to the rest of you, hiding behind your name on here, well done you! You are one of the most sour and unprofessional people I have ever had the misfortune of knowing of. jbuonacc. I'd like to hear what you produce. This thread is finished. End of.

I find the track bedazzling and the monotony of the vocal spectacular...

I agree on the head shaving though.

Here you can check my music in my signature. Problem is your starting a new thread for your music and asking for opinions on it. Learn to take the good with the bad. Negative comments are often way more useful to your development and improving as a musician then positive ones. It took me a long time to figure this out too.

Your track? Well I like the music, its a nice melody and vibe. But I think its badly mixed, very muddy. The main problem is your voice, its just not good enough. Out of tune all over the place. I absolutely hate Autotune, but in this case you might consider it, or find a proper vocalist.

1. It's against forum rules to promote your music.

2. You asked for people to listen to your music. Did you honestly expect no negative comments?

If you can't take the criticism, then stick to the rules and stop asking people to spread your music like an irritating STD!

End of thread. I can take crisitscism, but why start on my hair? What the **** does that have to do with the music? And as a matter of fact, the vocals are in tune, I pitched up on piano. Don't like it? You don't have to. I'm sure you'd all do the same to get your music out there too if the forum rules were different.

first off, it seems that you've contributed nothing to this forum except to spam us with your stuff (i've gone through your previous 30-something posts, maybe four of them weren't complete spam). you just made a very similar thread for this track, under the guise of asking about the mix, even though you've already released the track. what's the point in that? you should ask this sort of thing before releasing your stuff. and why didn't you just use that thread to ask if we could spread it around, instead of making another blatant spam thread? for this alone i don't feel bad about what i said. the hair thing, yes, that was low. i apologize for that.

at first listen i thought, "hmm, not a bad tune really, but wtf is with those vocals?" have you ever considered doing a few more takes until you really capture what you're going for? yes, the vocals drift off all over the place. they sound 'lazy', like you're not even trying. then i checked out your other stuff on youtube. wow, same thing on every track, total lack of effort. the songwriting isn't actually that bad from what i can tell (besides that 'techno electro' song which is just crap), but damn, everything sounds horrible. the mix is bad, the playing is bad, the vocals are bad. i almost can't believe that you've put out three albums now and nobody has told you this.

maybe all this "laziness" is some sort of artistic statement and i'm missing the point, but i don't think that's it. you seem to be pretty serious about what you're doing. i do like that 80s vibe you've got going, but the end result is just a mess.

hearing what i produce isn't the point, though if i posted something up i'd expect some critique (good or bad).

that is fair enough jbuonacc the reason for the bad producing is because where I live, basically, no one cares as much as I do and the technoelectro song, Yes, admittedly, crap, I hate my first album, but I'm self taught, I don't like playing music with computers and tightened everything because it takes the humanity away, and I am the only one who does everything to try and better myself, I use logic and stuff like that, the mix does sound dull because that was simply pulled from tape at 7ips hence it's terrible compression. I'm just starting out and I have to start somewhere. I also have voice problems from time to time, and to avoid damaging my vocal chords, i tend not to over do everything, as when I'm in the mood, I can really let myself over do the music. The laziness is minimalism, I don't really have a huge library of musical instruments so I'm limited, and also I feel I'm trying to be natural with music, with or without bum notes, I don't want to be a statistic like Justin Bieber who cranks out song after song with absolutely no effort to what I can see, I do apologise for anything I may have said or done to anyone on this forum, I completely forgot about the rules, I'll remember next time, but to be fair, I'm sure any musician starting out there will want to try at least. I do however want to work with at least other people to get a richer sound, but its so impossible when there are so many other things going on in life such as university. For the general amount of people who have viewed this thread, I would please like to close it and delete it so it doesn't cause an uproar and so I haven't started an argument, which is what I don't want to do. I just want to share what I have to say through the advent of music, as I pretty much always have done before Something Else.

also, where I live, everyone is into metal and basically, because I'm not, they don't want to even think about try to help me in a new genre. So I have to do everything all together.

and also I do have more material in my set, just about 30. The thing is with a vocal take, when I do one, I tend not to go how it sounds, if it's lazy or not, I go with it according to what I feel during that take, I go by emotions attached to the take, I do however alternate pitching live, but I feel the final versions are what matter to me. Also that track uses heavy amounts of compression, it's unbelievable.

also on that note, the lyrics were made up on the spot apart from the chorus, I was experimenting with words, hence why I can see where you are coming from on the lazy vocal thing

Dude chill, its just my honest opinion, I've been trying to improve my skills for the last 20 years, it takes time and effort. The vocals are badly out of tune, its plain to hear. Maybe consider taking some vocal lessons, they can help with pitch and breathing, you'd be surprised how much better you can get.
