Pro tools bus compressor choices

Hi Guys

Its rapidly approaching the new year and I am rebuilding templates
Just wondering what people favor as bus limiters or compressors for films where things get rowdy!
I have the ML4000 but tend to only use the ML1 limiter side on the busses as I am not so keen on some of the unwanted tonal balances changes due to multi band comp.
Have used the L1/L2 etc have the Nugen limiter too.

So just curious as to what works for people

Ill weigh in with one from left field...

Waves Renaissance Axe...and it's only $9 right now!!!! Bet the price gossip when people realise how great it is for stereo buss duties.

Give it a go, you e got nothing to lose!

My go to limiter on the stereo and 5.1 master bus is now Nugen ISL.
If you like transparency there is no a real competitor around. I mean - no.

I previously used Sonnox Dynamics Bus Compressor TDM for 5.1 and stereo limiter. Now I Turned to Nugen ISL and IMHO I have higher loudness with less artifacts.

L2007 MM or L360 - would love to retire the L360 and replace it with Mcdsp's ML1 but it doesnt run 6CH. I wasn't overly impressed with ISL's CPU hit even though it sounded lovely and clean, so I haven't ponied up the cash for it.
I'm sure there'll be more AAX native true peak limiter options soon.

The other ISL issue is authorization, I want to set up the mix at my place then move it to the stage - can't move the ISL as theres no iLoc option yet
I have run the ML1 in multi mono, it works but I do like to see meters. Multi mono can pull things about a bit too

Not true.
You can choose what authorisation method you'd like to use - iLok or hard disk authorisation.
Also at any time you can convert your authorisation to iLok asset in your owner area at ISL site.
