Well, I wasn´t sure if I should start his thread, because I wasn´t really clear what I wanted except sympathy...then I accidentally hit the enter key.

I´m mixing in the opposite way than I use to, to save time. So let the compressor work alot, and somtimes I give the fader a little push a few db´s.

Ironic that you saw this before any of the moderators deleted it, since I´m familiar with your feelings for compressors..

But I´m thinking that I´m actually learning something right now, that somtimes I have to compromise with the quality, and not caring more about the work than the client does.

You can not always ride the fader, even if it hurts not doing so.
Right now im automating my compressors instead.

Absolutely.

I am shocked that anyone in our field is working Christmas Day. Unless it is a major, mega bucks, triple scale paying session.

Ha you'd have to pay me a lot more than triple for me not to get to drink this much.

Eech! Meanwhile I took the day off to stay at home. Stupidly sliced my hand with a chisel working on late gifts for friends and go in tomorrow to mix a feature now with one fully functional hand. Should have stayed at work! Worth the slice to spend with the fam of course!
