upmixing stereo to PL II ???

For this particular film festival, i will be projecting old videos mixed in stereo. I would like to up mix to surround, unfortunately, the theater still uses the old Dolby CP500 with no discrete 5.1 input card and only ProLogic II decoder.

Is there a plug in that will do stereo to PL II ?? I believe most plug-ins cater to up mixing stereo to 5.1 discrete. I guess, the other solution is to print the discrete up mix 5.1 then encode it to PLII.

You can upmix to 5.1 discrete and then make an LtRt out of that. How much different that will sound in your show than just playing the stereo as is is very debatable.
