HSU - VTF-15H - anyone using this sub for the .1 for SCORE (MUSIC) mixing ?

I did a search here and did not find anything HSU.

I need it to cover 30hz to 100hz or so.... and only for the ".1"

and as I said - SCORE (music) ONLY

looked at Bag End - but very expensive, and mixed comments about them.

any other suggestions?

thanks

Looks very much like a home theatre sub. Surely a low end JBL would be better and have greater headroom? Pure speculation. It looks tidy though

Well not to over simply - but a good sub just needs a great driver , amp and enclosure.

And design.

Ok so maybe it is tricky ..... Lol.

HSU is 45 minutes away, sells direct and offers a full refund for 30 days. Plus good support as they are local. .

Don't know of any pro audio companies that can offer that.

Plus - Good reputation and reviews on the internets

Yes indeed but remember the spec for films is +10dB in the lfe channel. The unit you are looking at hasn't got a balanced input so will need some sort balanced to unbalanced adapter and you will need to see if you have enough gain to run it 10dB hotter than mains. And has it got the headroom. In my experience the main limiting factor in domestic to pro comparisons is headroom. Pro gear tends to have to have more because we hit monitors pretty hard when mixing
