Essential gear in Audio Post.

Dear friends

I started this thread to ask for the essential gear, plugins , etc for a top-notch audio post studio.

I used to produce a lot of dance music, but im having a lot of fun doing tv commercials and im getting new jobs for composing for short films, and a few post gigs.

the industry here in chile is a little bit precarius, there is no respect for standars, (some networks sounds to loud, other too quiet, cliping music or dialog)
Of course the are good studios , but mostly are low-end.
So i want to be the best.

i know experience is the most important, im working hard on it.

My gear so far
logic pro, apollo with uad plugs,DMG , Fabfilter, SPL, adam a5x, moog slim phatty, prophet 08, nord lead, treated room,
Kontakt with +1TB Libraries

Do you think i'm done with this or there is something missing?

Thanks in advance

Nic

What aspect of audio post? Dialog editing, ADR recording/editing, Foley, sound effects or rerecording? Or do you want to stick strictly with the musical aspects?

If you plan to work in TV you need some measurement and metering tools, DMM or LM100 or etc.. You also need a calibrated listening environment. The stickies on this forum have good info on this.

If you're looking to do a lot of pure-post work (dialogue editing, foley, ADR etc.) then I'd look to invest in a DAW other than Logic - Pro Tools or Nuendo are popular choices.
