Help

Hi Slutz

Would someone be so kind as to help me with this spec sheet?

I do not understand the "crete" line, not sure if this is a separate spec for Crete or if it is part of the wider specs if so it doesn't make sense to me the numbers dont add up or am I missing something. The specs are for a French TV ad and I understand lines 1,2 & 4.

1 Loudness : -23LUFS (0 TOLERENCE)
2 Loudness Max (slide 3sec) :-20LU
3 Crete (en true peak) : -3dBTP
4 Loudness Range : 5LU recommended

I have emailed for an explanation from the client but they have passed it on to us from France and they do not know whom to contact, as in which actual channel it is, working with three middlemen here!

If you can help it would be great...thanks.

The accent on the word should be an accent circonflexe (if it is, it's no typo) - denoting a missing "s" that was there originally.

crête -> crest -> peak

Just a bit of etymology so it all makes a bit more sense.....

Hi,
these specs come from
http://www.cst.fr/IMG/pdf/CST_-_RT_0...0_english1.pdf
You are in the case of "less than 2 minutes program".
<edit>
FYI, these specs apply for all major french broadcasters
There's a legal constraint in France that all ads must complie to these specs.
</edit>
