REVERSE in PT

Perhaps this should be a moan, but why on earth is "reverse" a plug-in? I use it about 50 times a day in post. Should be a quick key, no? Come on, PT developers. Does anyone else NEED it as a plug-in? I just want one damn key for it.

I believe there is a third party quick key program that could help you (Quickkeys?). I believe it works by combing several commands into one hotkeyed action.

Agreed. Back in my Nuendo days it was the 'r' key.

In pro tools 10 you can keep multiple AS plug ins open. You could keep reverse open all the time. This way reverse would alway be a click away. Also window config helps recall AS plug ins quickly. Hope this helps.

Yep. I have window configs for my de-esser, gain, speakerphone and RX2. Add a marker for each config (only changing the config), and keep the marker list open - hey presto, one-click switching between plug-ins.

(PS: but I do agree that reverse is so simple a function that it should be a key really....)

Where I come from, just press the 'reverse' key (next to 'clip copy') in the edit mode...

Where I come from, we have to go to a menu for reverse, but we can actually get well-paid freelance jobs with our DAW-chops.
