2TB drives with 10.4

Hi Guys.

I know this isnt post related but im struggling with this.

Got tiger 10.4 with 2TB drives. I know that 2TB is its max on tiger but the computer seems to keep crashing as soon as you turn on one of the drives.

Would it be more efficient to partition the drive so it looks like two drives, therefore it could run without crashing??

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Dan

I've run 2TB drives on OSX 10.4 before with no issues. Can you upgrade to 10.6 (Snow Leopard)? I know for a fact there are no problems with that, since that's what I'm using at the moment on most of my systems.

Not 100% sure but if you format the drive using the GUID partition scheme option, you can go above 2TB in Tiger.
