In LA/Hollywood, no one asks to see show reels. Here, I get asked all the time.

Here in LA it's true. It's about connections and credits.

It's the same in London to a degree [ for commercials ] but clients also want somewhere to look at your work.

Man I wish I had time to make a showreel. If a client asked me for one I'd just push my credit list and a couple of clips from recent jobs.

I was hoping for a few responses on here too! I know it's mostly about connections and credits, but when trying to get smaller gigs to increase the credit list I'm pretty much always asked to provide a reel of some sort. I just finished uploading some stuff to my website, but I was also curious about what other people's looked like. It's not "music for picture" but a few clips that I thought could best show a little diversity in my abilities.

That being said, most pros have some clips on their website.
No actual reels though.

yeah, we just feature stuff on our site. I've never edited a showreel together.

Hey guys, here's a sound replacement project I did as a school project not too long ago... All new FX, ADR, and folly for an old Tiger Beer commercial. It still needs some subtle background music between scene changes, but here's what I have so far. Would greatly appreciate any feedback you guys have! By no means am I a pro, so hopefully you can offer some pointers
