Sounds like an obvious doubling effect and a limitless phase shifting/ flanging

I think there also may be some sub-harmonic synthesizing going on, so that the vocal track is duplicated an octave or two below normal. Maybe even a little "excitement" going on (as in Aphex or something comparable done as a plug-in).

Its also performance and the mask. Plus the LCR thing really made him larger then life.

They used two plugins (don't waste your time trying to acquire them; these plugins are not available to general public): Darthvaderer and Seanconnerizer.

Well, however they did it it wasn't very good. Enjoyed the movie a lot but that voice was just arse pipe. Half the time couldn't understand whatever he said and half the time it just sounded like a cheap pitch effect.

Other than that... Bane was cool!!

If you look at the videoing soundworks, it does sound like they mainly used the originals done with a lav inside the mask. Thus intelligibility issues... Personally I don't think spreading it lcr would do anything easier to understand, just making it stand out more.

Does this means watching the film on a TV(L-R only) will change the impact of his voice effect compared to other characters? I also think there's some sort of pitch processing and it also seem like the left and right channels are delayed a couple of ms to create a "wider" illusion. Often used in music production.
Can't wait to hear it on a TV.
