Price for scoring a trailer

I've been asked to write/produce the music for a book trailer. It'll be similar to a movie trailer, except the purpose of the trailer is to promote a book. I don't know too many details about the trailer yet, but I know the target length is about three minutes. What do think is a fair charge for a three minute score, mixed and mastered and ready to hand to the video editor?

Also, as I've never scored anything before, is the music usually written first and then the video is edited to the music, or is the music made after a rough cut of the video has been created?

You score to picture.
You don't master it like you would a song.
And you ask them what the budget is.

Thanks for the input. What percentage of the budget usually goes to the score?

As with audio, as little as they can get away with. That's why you need to ask them first, what they had budgeted. Nd go from there.
