We'll sort that Nuendo issue out after NAMM, devs are on the case. Thanks, Jay!

Hey all, UNVEIL v1.6 is now out!
Users that have opted to receive news & product info have been emailed the installer links. The updated trial is available here.
New in v1.6: - Now supports Win VST x64
- Now supports AudioSuite realtime preview in ProTools 10.3.3 or newer
- Improved compatibility to FCP X
- RTAS plug-in now supports EuCon
- (Mac) Authorization now valid for all users of a machine
- (Mac) Authorization app now launched during install
- Increased time-out and removed nag screens for the free trial version
Please note that AS preview REQUIRES PT 10.3.3 or newer, older versions of PT will show a DAE error when using preview.
Windows users: please make sure you uninstall v 1.5.0 before installing v 1.6 as we've changed some authorization code around for enabling x64 support. You can use either the Windows "remove software" function or (preferably) our uninstaller, located in the data folder next to the plug-in (for aax, it is inside the aax bundle).
Cheers,
Denis

Great!
I have the license already, but I kind of automatically say no to "sign up for email offerings"
How can I download the update?
All the best...

Yeah, I know that strategy from myself, I avoid all possible sources for SPAM, too.
Thing is, you can rest assured: we will not, ab-so-lu-te-ly never, under no circumstances and not for a million bucks SPAM anybody. That would be uncool. We will have none of that.
All we do send out via Email are update notifications and, once in a while, loyalty discounts. Certainly no "hey, as you've bought Zynaptiq software, WHY don't you go and buy this super-awesome washing mashine at an UNBELIEVABLE price, factory direct, from our partners at GiveMeAllYourMoneyNow Inc!"
Simplest way to get the update is to email me & I'll reply with your DL URL.
Cheers,
Denis

Alistair | Hmm, maybe we should do Zynaptiq T-Shirts then. That'd be called "cross-selling" in marketeering-speak. Ugh. |

Hey Denis, just a quick question. If I have the audio suite window of Unveil open during mix, the window refreshes itself after I hit playback every other time, or thereabouts. It makes the operation somewhat sluggish on my Mac Pro Quad 2.8 16G Lion, PTHD3 setup. Is this normal to you?
I like my RX and Unveil windows open on a second monitor but no biggie if this is not going to fly with Unveil. Will cope.

Interesting. We have had one report of that behavior but haven't been able to reproduce it. That is a HD system with TDM cards, yes? It may be related to that, as the TDM cards do force some stuff onto the audio processing/buffering.
Do make sure you set the buffers as high as possible.
Also...when the GUI redraws, what does your CPU load show?
At any rate, it would be great if you could email me your exact system sepcs so we can look into that with more info. Thanks!

Thanks!
EDIT: OK, found it by digging out my original receipt and hit re-download. Didn't v1 have a "check for updates" function?

Hey Denis,
Downloading 1.6.2 and man, is it slow.
I tried it yesterday and thought that maybe it's just everybody else downloading at the same time but it looks like it's going to be close to an hour.
If that seems okay, no problem. It's a "solder and test gear day" for me today.
Just wanted you to know in case it's a problem for you.

Thanks for the heads-up. That's strange as our tests of the DL speed are consistently in the 1 MB/Sec range. But then there *are* a couple of network hops between Germany and California I suppose....

Room tone you will need something like Cedar.
Room verb, this is the tool.

Hey all,
just a quick heads-up that we'll be serving exquisite single malt scotch at Musikmesse, Hall 5.1 A91. Free as in "free beer", except that it isn't beer but the really good stuff.
...and we'll be showing something UNbelievable that you will most definitely like if you think UNVEIL is cool....
So: Be There. See It. (and Drink It, too). |

Yes, it is :-)
That would be UNCHIRP - Lossy Codec Artifact Removal Quote: |
UNCHIRP is a real-time plug-in that allows removing the most obnoxious artifacts associated with low bit-rate lossy audio encoding, de-noising and other processes that operate in the frequency domain, commonly referred to as Chirping, Warbling, The Tweeties or Underwater-Sound. This type of artifact has so far been virtually impossible to remove due to its narrow-band and short-time nature. If you need to salvage poorly encoded music, speech that has gone through a poor GSM/satellite uplink, material that has been de-noised with sub-optimal settings or footage recorded with consumer mobile devices, UNCHIRP is your (only) friend.
| It is a very good friend of UNFILTER - Adaptive Tonal Contour Linearization Quote: |
UNFILTER is a real-time plug-in utilizing a blind de-convolution process to remove filtering effects, such as comb filtering, resonance, or excessive equalization – effectively linearizing the frequency response of a signal virtually automatically. UNFILTER also removes slow moving flanger/chorus effects and can apply a detected filter response to another signal, or store it for later use. And yes, you can even undo synthesizer-type resonant filtering to some extent. UNFILTER makes time-consuming and often impossible tasks as effortless as setting a handful of our super-slick "trackball" sliders. Whether you need to repair poorly mic'd production sound or musical recordings, adapt the character of multiple sounds to the same acoustic "world", equalize away "boominess" or resonance, generally re-balance the spectral contour of a signal, or creatively design new sounds – UNFILTER is the tool for you.
| (yes, "real-time blind de-convolution" means that this thing extracts the filter response curve from the signal without any pre-analysis. rocket science stuff.)
We'll be showing both as prototypes at Messe |
