MTC and MMC (Finale/Logic)

Hello,
I was wondering if someone among the community could help me figure this out.?

For some time now I have been tinkering and patching, my Finale 2012 to work as a slave to Logic.

My goal is - for one, to be able with the IAC bus's to send midi date ( music notation ), to logic for VSTi playback.

And second, is that Logic would be the SMPTE time code master, for Finale.

I have already read all the tutorials online ( MFA labs and others).
But still I can't get it to work right.

- for example -
After setting the right bus to the same midi channel, logic's playback dose not effect finale, even the tempos stay different.

Anyways, if at all possible I would really appreciate a clarification.
