hmmm me like this idea, don't I? After all one thing Avid is, is an agnostic company that runs its' software on at least the 2 main world OS's. That would seem to fit with the Google/Android cross platform model. But I don't think I'd care to run Pro Tools on Android!

Wouldn't @ all be surprised.....They could easily give them $200 Million.....And some how push some sort of Andriod daw.....

Bear in mind that the article being written doesn't mean it would actually happen. It's speculation.
However, anything putting the future development of my gear at risk (ie. System5 console software and Eucon) will tend to get me stressed... But maybe I'll be able to control plugins with Eucon from an Android tablet running side-by-side with my console? Who knows

Google buy Avid and get everyone editing and doing sound post off a Google Chrome Book.
