Thread Starter | Best way to broadcast HD image in a long distance
This is for a church setting, I have a high definition camcorder and would like to have it hooked up to a TV which is located at the opposite side of the building. Rather then a very long HDMI cable, is there an alternative way to broadcast what was recorded/broadcasting live view to the TV located far away? Thank you in advance |

If you are not too worried about an occasional frame dropping here and there, as well as having a slight delay to the picture, the cheapest way would probably be to go with a wireless hdmi transmitter/receiver. They generally work well for distances up to 30m/100ft if there are no major obstructions (e.g. stone walls) between transmitter/receiver. (Some models also have ethernet ports, so you could use a cat6-cable if the distance is longer). Amazon should have a couple of models in the $100-250 price range. |

look up a Gefen HDMI extender using cat5. I use several of these for all my video runs in the studio and keep one on hand for the occasional long video run. they work great.
