DTS-HD Master Audio Suite and then?

I have no clue about Blu Ray authoring and would like to ask some questions here concerning this. What I try to find out is what would be the most simple and maybe cost effective way to author Blu Ray discs for high quality audio only, preferable on Mac. Right now I have SureCode for DTS- HD for encoding. It goes just to 48 Khz.
What I understood so far is that DTS-HD Master Audio Suite can encode all DTS audio streams but it's no authoring program. When I look at e.g. Scenarist I see a lot of features that for the purpose of a HD Audio Bu Ray seems not necessary. Is there a simpler, less expensive way to author Blu Ray HD audio disks? Necessary would be some menus of course and maybe an intro video and still frames/photos etc. The focus is on high end audio in surround and stereo.

I think Toast is able of "burning" BDs and I think they even have some kind of simple authoring. If you want to get it done professionally take a look at www.pureaudio-bluray.com. It's a studio in munich and they have a special way of authoring so that you're able to nvigate the disc without a attached monitor which is actually not as trivial as it might sound.

Toast will burn a BD, but no support for DTS-HD

AFAIK, Netblender Dostudio is the cheapest authoring software for .dtshd files. $3000.

There is literally nothing on a Mac.
there are 3 apps that will do this to replication standard, Scenarist BD, Sony's Blu-Print & DoStudio and they are all Windows 7 applcations.

Please check your PM - this is something we may be able to help you with.

Just as a follow up. Not meant as an application for replication standard but I found this quite handy: Cirlinca | High-Definition audio software | FLAC, DVD, Blu-ray
It allows you easily to burn Blu Ray Audio disks up to 96/24 surround as uncompressed audio. I found it quite astonishing for $68,-. Very handy to give some demo Blu Rays or previews to clients and for testing purposes. Simple menus are also possible with JPEG import. It's not elegant to operate but I don't complain for this price.
All the other questions were thankfully answered by Neil Wilkes.

Hi NKF,

At this time, the only 3 commercially available professional authoring apps which follow the strict Blu-ray specs are: Scenarist, Blu print and Do Studio. I use Scenarist and Do Studio myself. You can run DoStudio on a Mac via Boot Camp with Win XP or 7. It can author anything, from a simple to the most complex interactive Blu ray, all within the blu ray specs.

If you don't need a pro authoring app and not going to replications then anything from Toast to adobe Encore will sort of get you there.

As for encoding, the latest version of Compressor (3.5) and Adobe's Encode can do proper AVC(H.264) and various audio format for Blu ray.
