WAV files at 709 kbps ???

Hi Gang,

I've recorded about 200mns of VO in Pro Tools for a corporate video and my client is telling me the they want me to format the files to both 320 kbps MP3s as well well as WAVs at 709 kbps. I've never heard of formatting WAVs to 709 kbps. Can someone please advise me on how to do this?

Thanks Much!

I guess he means 16 bits 44.100 Hz mono, it's 705600 bits per second.

A stereo wav 16 bit is 1411 Kbps. Sounds like they want a mono 16 bit wav but I could be wrong.

sounds like they like jargon but don't really understand it's use here. don't be afraid to question them about the spec. standard wav deliverable is normal, make sure it's the correct bit/sample rate

Any sort of video project asking for audio at 44.1 khz would send up a red flag to me.

Definitely ask for more information.

no, actually, 44.1 stereo is not uncommon on web video delivery. In fact we're shooting a video in 720p HD at 48 Khz and doing the post for ALLIANZ GOLBAL and the delivery is a nice web digestible MP4(ISMA) 44.1khz, video ( Mpeg4 improved) and audio file at whatever kbps is specified... for us it's 320 kbps.

cheers
