PT and relinking missing audio files

DAH!

No it didn't fix itself after all so I'll retype but paraphrase my question/comment.

PT 7.2 HD.
18 missing audio files from 10 minutes ago, now of course pro tools says (waves hands) "These are not the files you're looking for..."

Even though they're right there where they were 10 minutes ago, same audio files folder, nothing has changed whatsoever.

Anyway, does anyone know if the NEWER versions of pro tools don't force you to INDIVIDUALLY have to find, relink, and commit link on each and every fricking file all the time? No shift-click selectors, no 'automatically actually LOOK in the folder I'm telling you to look in' (cough cough like older versions of PT cough), like any other piece of intelligent software?

Waiting and willing to be enlightened.
Thanks
Jeff

I almost never have to search for likely candidates. sometimes I have to search by name only or else by special ID only, but not too often. Not always so lucky with fades, depending on the folder structure, but I just regenerate them without searching.

What I do is, in the "relinking window" select all. You can do this by using CTRL+A ( or E, I don´t remeber ). Then select the disk or folder.

What I don´t know how to do is how to relink without closing and opening the session

In PT9 (&8?) use the Project Window. Select Audio Files, then Relink Offline from the right drop down menu. This will open the Relink window.

Wow, thanks. We have already upgraded from 7.3 to 9. Don´t know if this option was available in 7.x
