Sound Design Samplers

Hey everyone,

What are peoples' choice samplers for Film Sound Design in ProTools??
My studio is gearing up for some new sound design tools, and I'm hunting for opinions.

I'm talking extensive options, smooth stretching/manipulation, and refined combining. For use more with field recordings and natural sounds than synth/cg sounds.
Here's the list I have going:

Structure Full
Machfive 3
Alchemy

Short list, so any suggestions are welcome. I believe Ben Burtt uses Machfive, but I'd like to hear other peoples' opinions. I've used Structure Free and I can see where the full version improves, but I'm weary as Machfive seems so much more advanced for a similar price.

Thanks!

Kontakt

I have an Emu E6400 in the basement if you'd like it...

Kontakt is pretty awesome, but so are some of the sample modes of Reaktor. The Komplete bundle is deep enough to keep you swimming for a long time.

Kontakt for sure with Keymap Pro.

I asked myself this question cause I'm working on a foley/sound effects library and I was wondering about what sampler format to support.

Is Avid Structure is a good choice?

Thanks

Hello. When you guys are saying film sound design are you speaking in terms of post production or just creating interesting sounds for a score?

Also, is keymap just more elegant for editing a sample patch? I've done so much programming in Kontakt that I'm interested if there's a more elegant platform that translates to other samplers.

Thanks for your help!

If you are designing instruments for different software samplers, it is VERY hard to beat Keymap.... it is outstanding for design.
