Thread Starter | Trident 80B - What are the screws used in this console??
I am currently refurbishing a Trident 80B which has quite a lot of rusty or corroded/ worn screws. Nothing on the desk seems to be metric or imperial. Can anyone out there tell me definitively what the screws are which: - Attach the module panel the PCB? (They look like an M3 but aren't. From my research I think they could be 6BA (British Standard). - Attach the Pots to the Pot shaft? (These are Grubber Screws). - Attached the Panels to the frame? (They look like an M4 but aren't). Any help would be much appreciated or leads on where I could purchase these, preferably in the U.K.. Many Thanks! |

You may have British Whitworth threads. Now obsolete but were used in to the 70's.

As a follow up to this I now have the info: - Panels to Frame screws are 4BA (1/4"). - The 1/8" Grubber Screws are 6BA (we reused ours having soaked in Coke & WD40 to remove grime & rust). - Channel module panel to the posts on boards are 6BA (Mostly 1/4" but some halfway are 1/2"). Hope this helps someone out there one day as I spent ages trying to find out! Robin |
