Urgent: looking for high end VO studio in Rome

Hi GS – I'm looking for a top-notch recording studio in Rome for a voice-over session. We're in DC & need ISDN. The talent is an a-list-ish movie star and the session will be Christmas week.

Thanks for any leads!

looking at the list here:
IL MONDO DEI DOPPIATORI - Gli studi italiani di doppiaggio

this one seems to do lots of dubbing for top movies
castdoppiaggio.com

so I guess it's a top studio, but I have no references.

Good luck!!

Not so good at Technicolor Rome

(Lurked for a while, finally had a reason to post...)

I did an ISDN session this afternoon with Technicolor Rome.

Was not pleased with the voice quality - sounded like they had a high-pass at 200Hz to clean up room noise. That coupled with a MASSIVE amount of headphone bleed made my talent (who is A-list and has a great deep voice) sound awful.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to remotely diagnose the problems completely - I barely had time to get them to move the mic closer and turn the headphones down so they weren't causing feedback and comb filtering.

In a word: avoid.

Or do plenty of setup tests beforehand.

Good luck.

McSoundDesign, I'm very happy you decided to un-lurk when you did. This is disappointing but invaluable information.

Thank you very very much for posting.
