Hey Crew there is some Firmware for Canon DSLR camera's called magic lantern

I think this has been available for some time? BTW, putting it on your camera voids your warranty.

New for the 550d

I have modded my power shot firmware using chdsk and turned it to a intervalometer. Had great fun with it.
