Thread Starter | Altiverb 6 et Pt 9 bug
Hi, I've recently upgraded my system to pro tools 9 and now I get often this bug with Altiverb (version 6) that simply goes mad - sound goes echoeing randomly. First, reescaaning my IRs worked to fix it... but not anymore. Anyone got this also? All help is much appreciated. |

no problems with Altiverb on 2 PT HD9 systems here. One is upgraded from 8.0 to 8.01 to 8.04 to 8.1 to 9.0 and had Altiverb all this time. The other is a 9.0 fresh install. The only continuous issue I see with 8.1 and 9.0 is memory overflow situations (even with smaller sessions it seems). Greetings, Thierry Quote:

Thanks for the reply, Thierry. The version of Altiverb that you have is Altiverb 6 also? |

No problems with Altiverb 6XL (6.3.5) on PT9 HD 3 Accel here. I use Altiverb as RTAS only. I must say that for me Altiverb got much more stable since PT 8.1. I did a completely clean install of Snow Leopard 10.6.4 for PT9. But I constantly have crashes on opening Sonnox Suppresser, Declicker, Debuzzer and Denoiser in audiosuite mode. PT crashes immediately on opening an audiosuite window or on changing plugin presets. This issue appeared in 8.1 first. |

I'm having the same problem. How did you solve it? It goes really mad. I've got Mac OS X 10.6.7 Pro Tools Native HD 9.0.3 Altiverb 6.3.5 Thanks!

You might try to put the processors to max -1 (8 processor computer -> set to 7) in the PT playback engine. You didn't mention computer and memory config. Not enough memory could be an issue. Greetings, Thierry
