| Lives for gear  | Cheap 5.1 mixer?
I have an analog 5.1 speaker rig. What mixer can I get that can output 6 channels of analog? (I have several pro interfaces but they are both digital and or 2 channel) I wanted to stack them with asio4all. But what cheap interface can output 5.1 and most of my gear is analog (Not SPDIF or ADAT) Sorry if Im so stupid that I cant even ask the question, How to get 6 channels out of my PC!!! Can the built in mobo monitor? (16ms) Thanks, sorry im so stupid! Im taking stupidity to a new science!

any audio interface with at least 6 outs can do it. Just go to sweetwater or guitarcenter .com and look at the audio interfaces. There's probably a few in the 200 range that will do it.

You will also want a 5.1 monitor controller.

JSt0rm Im not getting a monitor controller. Super cheap system for home projects. Im thinking M-audio 410 firewire as it has 7.1 analog outs.

I don't miss a physical hardware monitor controller at all. I did used to run an SPL one, but it blew and took out 3 of the 5 monitors I had at the time (Yamaha MSP10) but thank the gods for insurance. Now I run the Nuendo Control Room via my WK Audio ID console - perfect. (although I suppose that could be described as a monitor controller too.....)
