Noise Reduction: Fave Noise Profiles

With the recent talk of noise reduction plugins, tips, tricks, etc. I thought I would post a new thread containing some user-captured noise profiles/signatures.

This has got to be my all-time favourite, graphically.

Not to cross-thread with quotes, but in response to your response, here's a response:

it wasn't your exact quote, it was "What? What do you mean we have to ADR the scene? It sounded fine when we were shooting."

(...with my ears and not being inundated with the electronic interference)

Noise Reduction: Fave Noise Profiles

If that face popped up on my phase scope, first I'd crap my pants, then I'd run out of the room screaming like a 12 year old.

Nice. That's Aphex Twin. But I agree, the sight on my spectrogram would give me the willies.

My son saw me cleaning up a recording with RX and told me about the Aphex Twin Windowlicker graphic.

I have a side business doing 2D and 3D graphic design, but it never would have occurred to me to come up with something like that.

I love that--I'm going to try to screenshot it into some processing in the morning on a particularly horrible section of windy and clipped DIA in my current doc and show it to my co-mixer.
