I love how horribly bad those edits were in the "movie".

If they keep putting movies like that up. I think we're safe for a while.

Mix notes from the producers should be a wonderful experience.

Sadly, I've gotten some similar feedback before...

Couldn't find the amount one would need to pay to become a producer. Thinking this looks an awful lot like a scam, and if not, then genius fund raising?

Either way, it's ********.

Sound like every Craigslist ad ever. Copy/Credit in exchange for contribution to the budget. This one just skips the whole 'working' part and asks for the money directly.

As long as the director/creators are using the money to pay the crew and post folks the right amount of money, I could care less HOW they raise it!

Of course the odds of that actually HAPPENING....

Director: "So I financed this thing on imadeamovie.com... got lots of investors onboard, and got some good money!"

Post-Guy: "Great, so you actually have a budget for Audio-post..."

Director: "Well...no... we spent it all already, renting a few REDs... did I mention it's shot on a RED?"

Brilliant! You just can't make this stuff up, except, perhaps in a film like State and Main.

For ONLY $39.95 ... I'll send you a T-shirt that says "PRODUCER" .... that's a $10 saving!

BUT WAIT.... there's more!

If you respond in the next 15 minutes, we'll include this great DVD called "I made a T-shirt!"

cheers

What a great flick! I just gave the DVD to my daughter and I'm sure I'll never see it again...

No one's ever asked me to be a "virtual crew member", but I have had a great many requests to pay me a "virtual day-rate".
