Vocal Booth Substitute

So I am currently setting up a home recording studio but I haven't bought almost any of the equipment I need yet but I do have a general idea with prices. The only thing I'm having trouble with is a vocal booth. I don't really have an extra space for one so I was wondering if there was a substitute I could use. I've heard of a SE Reflection Filter. Are there any portable vocal booths that I could put in a large room or something like that. I just need any information on the subject of Vocal Booths. Thank you.

Whisper Rooms (booths) are store bought rooms for such a thing... otherwise a read up on acoustics and some creativity on your part would help you decide if a spare room or construction is in your future.

VO booths are almost always dead (acoustic) spaces with large diaphram condensers, though shotguns are used as well. The key is to minimize early refliections and sound signatures from the room.

ADR is completely different.
