Thread Starter | Toy Story 3 - Spanish Buzz Lightyear bit...
No spoilers if you've seen the trailers but don't read until you've seen it to be safe! . . . . . . . Nothing at all technical but out of curiosity - when Buzz reverts to 'Spanish' Buzz (on the English version), will or have they redubbed that segment to a different language for the Spanish release...I'm guessing not because of the animation/acting but just thought the initial joke won't hit as hard.... Anyone who can shed some light as I'm curious... Thanks |

Hi, the "spanish" Buzz has been dubbed by "Diego el Cigala" a famous flamenco singer. He puts an exaggerated andalusian accent that is absolutely hilarious! Here's the clip and some links: YouTube - Pixar Escena Toy Story 3 Buzz se pone flamenco El doblaje de Toy Story 3 - 4/11 Diego El Cigala becomes Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story 3 | El Cigala Cheers! |

I happened to work with Javier Fernandez Pena recently, who played Buzz in the Spanish version of the film. He also has a fantastic gravely voice, and also happened to be a bit of a one take wonder, a real pro! FF |

I'm sure Javier won't mind when I say I totally agree with FullFrequency.

I work with Javier all the time. Great voice, very professional reader. One of the best voices I've worked with, in any language.

Yes, the Spanish voice of Buzz made ME laugh when I heard that transition! Excellent. Jeff
