Inserting silence into a WAV

Are there any batcheditors that can insert a few milliseconds of silence at the end of a bounced WAV-file? Needs to be OSX too...

Would the "append" action in Sample Manager work? It concatenates files.

I think Bias Peak can. ask them first though. but I think it can.

DSP Quatro might be able to as well.

concatenate - now that's a word you don't hear every day of the week!

Have you found a solution yet?

I think it's relatively easy to do this via Applescript and Quicktime Player.

Hallo Geert,

Elaborate? I'm not much of an Applescript-user...

Try the attached droplet.

Before you drop files onto the droplet, first do an export from Quicktime Player (you need to open a file for this, but if it's a long file you can cancel the export) were you specify the correct export setting, you can only use WAV, but offcourse you can change the sample rate and the bitrate. This setting will be used for the dropped files.

The droplet will ask for a wave file which is going to be added to the dropped files, so for this you'd have to make a small wav file with silence of the desired length. And then it will ask for a save location for the exported files.

If you want to look at the script of the droplet you can drop it onto the applescript script editor application.

It's not fully tested, so use at your own risk!
