Thread Starter | Pro Tools stalls in plugin 'preview' exit
PT 7.2 Mac 10.4.11 PPC G4 1.25GHz Lately symptoms have been quite lengthy 'beachballs' / 'spinning colour wheels' after clicking 'preview' to get back to regular pro tools mode after auditioning an Audiosuite plug. No plug in particular...have found it pretty general. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Going to have to do a RAM test probably, as disk optimization, fragmentation, disk permissions, pro tools prefs have all checked out. Thanks for comments. And, thus, my new thread. Things to do when pro tools hangs... Jeff

Hey Jeff, As far as I remember AS previews are RAM based, so that does seem like a good place to start. I recommend Rember if your not already using it. Set it to run overnight.

Thanks, Howard. I'll check that one out. Yeah, and this is just with Pro Tools running, no other background programs (aside from the usual apple suspects).
