Ribbon, into any preamp, and then remove the fuse.

Bring back Puccini, Pavarotti and Decca!!

The sound of Summer (I'll think I might miss them when they stop though).

I know. I was kidding.....

But winning against Spain is a BIG thing! There was quite a party going here in usually rather reserved Switzerland....

Ah....didn't notice your home town in your avatar until just now. Sorry -- didn't mean to touch a raw nerve! (I actually went to some of the court hearings in NYC....guess you and I will have to cheerfully agree to disagree on this one.)

Congrats on the football win!

Sorry to everyone else for veering OT....back to your regularly scheduled Bb drone....

No problem and to be honest I'm not really into sailing so I didn't even know what the lawsuit was exactly about. I don't think it hurt Bertarelli/Alinghi very much because that guy SWIMS in money as you will surely know....

I must congratulate your team as well, the US soccer boys didn't do too bad either against England! I think it's going to be very 'interesting' for some of the favoured teams.

Watching BBC now, sounds great! Not much vuvuzela-noise but still a stadium atmosphere. German tv good aswell. Dutch and Belgium tv have almost no general noise.

One that goes DOWN to 'infinity'...

<---not liking the loss of the crowd ambience/chants.

Study done in the U.K. was that being 1m (3') away from one for a 7 second span would be 'work-safe' levels for an entire day of work.

do you know what theyve done to improve it at bbc? their is still a distinct lack of crowd noise, but it's a lot better than before.

I saw some footage of a group of africans inside the stadium, the camera was right by them, and their chanting and singing was sooooo beautiful. Such a dam shame it's inaudible at home. vuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

Ach... good riddance, I hope more TV stations filter out this horrible noise.

Anyway, not sure if it's been discussed or not but so far at least 3 plugins came out to filter out the noise:

Yea I head it on a baseball game this weekend myself ! Crazy. Although it might be a better option for opposing teams here in NY. You cant throw a vuvuzela like you can a d cell battery.

As an unexpected and bizarre twist, YouTube has now added a Vuvuzela button to many videos. Look for a little soccer ball near the lower right corner, and if it's there, click on it to virtually obliterate the audio under a wall of vuvuzela noise.

What will they think of next!

Hee that's true !

Anyways , i was observing that this vuvuzela moto perpetuo contributes for a stressful enviroment . As a matter of fact , you can see it on the number of faults lately . Players are literally beating !
