Hey there,
I'm a new slut looking for a place to get great wallas. I've found it impossible to find clear wallas that don't include ambiences. I don't want typewriters in my office walla!
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Do you also sell your footsteps in packs? Or is it just singles?
Hi Murasamee, I actually see it as an additional tool or an alternative for those who do not have the facilities and budget. I plan to offer packages as soon as the footsteps production is completed. For now there is a package of 16 SFX-Instruments of Snowshoes on different surface in the winter section.

Hi everyone,
Some of you may remember my car sound effects survey a few months ago. I am in the process of building a website and I will put the findings online and share them with you. For my Masters final project I recorded a Renault Clio. This will hopefully be the first in a series of different car packs.

http://soundcloud.com/rsaudio/european-cars-one-renault-clio
The pack will be £25 and includes 235 recordings including metadata. 230 of which were recorded and delivered at 96Khz/24 Bit. It should be online in the next few weeks.
I hope you like it!

A guy called Tom Player who now works as a composer at Lost Track recorded some sail/yacht stuff pre-2010 which I can't seem to find anymore. You can get in touch with him here to see if he still has it knocking about: Lostrack - Contact

New Trekking Boots Footsteps Bundle

Hi everyone, we just released the "Trekking Boots Bundle-1" for Kontakt and EXS24. This bundle includes a total of 12 sound effects instruments of treeking boots footsteps on natural surfaces.

Crushed rock, dirt path-1, dirt path-2, small dock, wet grass, gravel path, hay, leaves, mud-1, mud-2, rocks and sand.

The Trekking Boots Bundle includes our "One Key Cycle" (OKC), a versatile structure for zones distribution designed especially for footsteps SFX-Instruments and provided 124 samples with 104 Cycle Round Robin including 4 zones of velocities on one key of the keyboard controller, which allows realistic variations to repetitive sound effects. For more flexibility and control, these same samples were spreaded individually on each white key of the keyboard. Finally, the black keys have been configured as additional sound like movements, handling and other related additional sound effects. The One Key Cycle can be interactive by combining with each other. For example, when recording sound effects for a scene, a footsteps SFX-Instrument may be accompanied by a pants SFX-I and layered by a backpack SFX-I, ready to be recorded in almost a "single pass" and that from a single key (and a single finger) on the keyboard controller.

Cheers!

Bernard

Explosives HD Pro Beta SFX Library Released

As many of you already know I’ve been recording lots of Black Powder and other “Explosive” things. Presenting Beta 1 of Explosives HD Pro SFX Library. For a limited time it is available at 25% off. Grab it now and when the final library is released later this fall a product update link will be sent out.

The collection is still a work in progress and I have many more sessions planned for this fall. I feel the library contains enough sounds to be released as a Beta. Please enjoy the video and audio presentations and keep an eye out for future blog posts of the latest recording sessions.

I’ve recorded a whole bunch of Tannerite, White Lightning, A Black Powder Cannon, Large Caliber Rifles and some other secret stuff I’m not cleared to have video and pictures of. This new library will be a massive collection of things that make a loud noise when lit up and will include all sorts of black powder bursts, sizzle, flames, rocket type effects and many other things I have not thought of yet.

Some of the source material is thunder, lightning, plastic air pops, Weatherby 300 rounds and various shotguns. Here in North Idaho we have a amazing environment for recording loud bangs and weapons. The reverb tails even from a small caliber rifle can produce really cool echoes and textures depending on the location and time of year. Some of the locations where I recorded were on a mountain top rock quarry, a dense forest, a medium size gravel pit and my own field here on the ranch. I’ve also recorded during all the four seasons and I will say they all sound a little different.

PLEASE NOTE: This is the first Beta release of this sound library. Some of the metadata and/or filenames may change as more sounds are added. The final version of the library will contain these sounds as they are now, they will not change. The only changes to this collection that will occur are additional sound effects. Many of these sound effects were recorded with multiple microphones from different perspectives.

Release Date: September 14, 2012
SKU:EXPL01
Files: 450+
Price: $150.00 (Regular price: $200.00 USD

Hi all, I was going to start a new thread (maybe I still should?)

about pricing feedback for a sound effects library I'm putting together through Pro Sound Effects. We're basically going to offer a limited number of libraries with roughly 50,000 sounds for freelancers and independent sound editors.

I need some feedback about what price would fit your budgets, and I need honest feedback!! We have so many sounds, and as a freelancers myself I know having this resource is KEY to working fast and producing great sounding work.

Fill out the form if you get a second.

survey about pricing for sound effects library for freelancers

Gracias!

Hey all

I have just released a new sound effects library, called Analog Cameras.

http://soundcloud.com/gimaudio/sonicsalute-analog-cameras (Full set demo)

Its 99 mono wav. files. 120 Mb, all 96/24, of pure camera sound effects.
17 cameras, ranging from gritty analog ones from the 1960, to 2011 cameras which are digitally controlled, but has an analog mechanism.

What started out as a somewhat smaller camera sound effects recording project, quickly evolved into an obsessive need to find new cameras with different sounding shutters and winders.

Every fleemarket, and camera entusiasts gathering, were thoroughly scanned for more, more more…..

As a fun sidenote, it is worth mentioning, that sellers look quite strangely at a buyer, when the buyer is listening to one camera after another, instead of looking through the finder on the various models for sale.

Sound effects include: Winders, clicks, shutters, open/close, lens servos, lens removals, flash charges, and flash releases.
Please see the track list here:
TRACKLIST

All tracks include metadata of specific camera name and model, as well as specific action(s) performed.
Recorder: Sounddevices 702.
Microphone: Sennheiser Mkh 416, and Aquarian Audio H2 XLR hydrophone (used as contact microphone)

You can get your copy for $40, here: Analog Cameras

Thanks for your support!

Hi All,

I'm pleased to announce my first sound library release! Sounds recorded from the Bournemouth Airshow are made available for download directly from my website.

All sounds were recorded via Sennheiser MKH-418S stereo mic onto Nagra LB digital recorder at 96khz/24bit and available for download in that format.

Further track info and download available here

A demo mix of some of the sounds can be heard here:
http://soundcloud.com/andrewjohnlewis/bournemouth-air-show-demo

Hello All,

Bullets HD Pro SFX Library: The final installment. It's done!

Presenting the final release version of Bullets HD Pro Sound Effects Library. After nine months and over thirty recording sessions it's finally done! This release adds Set 4 to the collection and includes sounds of bullets being shot into a old Bronco SUV were recorded inside and out and from all sides. After many weather delays and scheduling conflicts the end is here. During the last week of October the remaining sounds for this comprehensive collection of bullet sound effects were recorded with a multi-microphone setup in the wilds of North Idaho.

Three types of firearms were used on the SUV to give you a wide selection of impacts to choose from. This final installment includes 198 brand new multi-take Broadcast WAV files and includes the cleaned up and organized raw recordings along with the "processed" takes. Some new foley and designed sounds are also included.

For anyone who purchased the Beta releases along the way to the finale of this library I thank you so very much for your patience and a product email has been sent and should be in your in-box.

If you do not have it yet... get yours today!

The WAV files and metadata in 1-3 have not changed. If you downloaded each Beta ZIP as they were released all you need to get is Set 4. There are a total of 556 WAV files when all downloaded. -Frank

Autumn Wind HD Pro SFX Library Released

A gusty collection of 30 24-Bit 96kHz wind sound effects from the forests and fields of North Idaho. Recorded during the fall season of 2012 on my property and in the North Idaho mountains. This library was recorded with the Sennheiser MKH-8040ST at XY-90 and at times XY-120 (wide) and captures in great detail the sound of air blowing through trees, leaves, tall grass, wire and fences.

Autumn is my favorite time of year in North Idaho. The weather change from Summer to Autumn and into Winter brings a very dynamic and sometimes forceful air mass from the North that collides with the Southern push of warmer weather. Since my location is on the West side of the Rocky mountains the climate can remain relatively warm as this cold air mass pushes downward and recording wind becomes an almost daily occurrence.

Included in this library are calm breezes, wind through tall trees and gusts up to 60MPH that actually knocked the MKH-8040ST over a few times. The sound of a MKH-8040ST falling over and doing a face plant into the ground is not pretty. (not included in the set) FYI: The term “face plant” is what skiers call wiping out head first on a fast run which I learned many years ago from my professional ski instructor brother. Enjoy! -Frank

Price: $45.00
