IRCAM tools by FLUX

I just saw this at sounddesigners.org:
IRCAM-tools

I like the look of TRAX stuff - seems like we are getting new power tools for voice manipulation!

Good spot. IRCAM is the top academic audio research center in France.

The SPAT is a reverb, panner, distance eq and doppler in one cool interface!

Hi Felix,

I wonder if it is a coincidence that the acousmodules free spatializing plugins also have SPAT in their names, or are they also based on IRCAM research?

Are these VSTs or RTAS or what? (The IRAM stuff.) I couldn't see anything about that on the site.

Hi Danijel,

Nope, they can't be, Flux:: is contracted as the exclusive partner with IRCAM for doing plug-ins of their SPAT technology. I have no idea about the origin of those acousmodules plugins, but it seems like they are Synthedit work of some kind.

Cheers,

Acousmodules are synthedit. They deal with surround capabilities.
