Westwood Village & Bruin Theaters saved

I'm sure many of us have attended premieres at these two landmark theaters, over the years. It's not only nice that these 2 theaters were saved, for historic reasons, but also the symbolic value of preserving one of our age-old customs, the shared experience of viewing motion pictures with others...the laughter, the tears, the hoots and hollers.

Many of you may be too young to remember, but in the 70's a film called Star Wars had lines snaking several blocks around Westwood Village (later Jaws would do similarly).

DVDs, and now video on demand, have decreased this phenomenon but it is still nostalgic to remember the opening of blockbusters on holiday weekends and the glamour of our premieres.

Cool!!!

The first film I remember lining up 3 times around the block was The Exorsist, in 1973.
OOPS, just gave away my age!!!
