Jason Lancaster/ Mayday Parade Vocals?

I'm new to this forum but have been reading it for about a year now. So i thought it was finnally time to post some questions. One of my favorite bands has always been Mayday Parade (new or old), and I've always been amazed how there vocals are so forward yet have almost no or no reverb or delay to my ear. I do know that they are really over compressed. Any tips on how i can get a similair vocal upfrontness (if you know what i mean). I did hear from Kenneth Mount (producer and mixer on there first album) that he cut at 3.15K on guitars when he mixes. I wonder if that frequency may be key. Thoughts? Thanks for replying

I've searched this forum multiple times and have never found my answer. Can someone point me in the right direction?
