Had to do this once long ago - I seem to remember I got better sound by emptying the liquid out of the eggs and recording empty shells crushing. HTH Sonny Keyes Ricochet Audio Toronto |

If you need to beef the recording up, varispeed it down a little bit - the sound will last longer, but it'll have more low end content! Peace |

I just used the old sandpaper trick. Cup your hand, put a square of sandpaper on your fingertips, push it into your palm, hit record and squeeze. Heavy grit gives a better crunching sound. And yes, I've also used the half egg shells from Saturday morning breakfast. A mix of the real and sandpaper crunches give you a lot of control. |

Try crunchy cookies, ice cream waffle cones, wheat thins... With some experimenting, I'm sure you can reach the desired sound. Cleaning up after the session is much tastier too...
