festival submission application.. sound options

Director is asking me which sound option to check on the app..

playback will be 5.1 on HDcam with LtRt on 7 and 8.

Options are:
Dolby A
Dolby E
Dolby Digital SRD
Dolby SR
LtRt
SDDS
Stereo
Mono
Not Applicable

Best of my knowledge, the audio will be 24bit 48k PCM on all channels

What Dolby encoder did you use to make the LtRt on 7&8?

HD Cams are 4 channels. There will be no 7&8. No festival or broadcaster plays discrete 5.1 (or 6 mono chnls), so it better not be 24b/48k Wav. In order for it to be surround, It has to be Dolby E. And the Type of Dolby Encode for the LtRt will not matter.

Maybe it's HD Cam SR which has 12 channels?

That may be the case. Dir isn't tech savy and that may be what he's talking about. if it's the SR tape, which box would he check for PCM 6ch + PCM LtRt

Might be, but almost certainly is not the case. I've never heard of a festival running HDCAM SR decks

It certainly would be pretty expensive for most festivals.

Not only that, as I said above, they do not run PCM 6ch!
